Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!
A woman's pet cat was severely injured after someone shot it with an arrow last Thursday in a stunning case of animal cruelty, according to police.
The cat was in the area of Dotter's Corner Road in Polk Township when state police at Lehighton believe someone used either a traditional bow, compound bow or a cross bow to fire one arrow into the cat's right hind leg between 10 and 10:35 p.m.
The cat returned home after being shot, where the cat's owner, Nadine Mackes of Kunkletown, found it and removed the arrow. The cat was still alive as of Saturday, police said.
