On June 28, 2008 Investigator M Azzarello was called to the home of Mr. Manuel Piorro in South River, NJ. Mr. Piorro kept his dog in his unfinished garage during the extreme hot days of June. A summons was issued for failing to provide proper shelter for his dog. On July 21, 2008 Mr. Piorro entered a plea of guilty in the South River Municipal Court and was fined $700.00 and was ordered to pay $150 in restitution to the NJSPCA.
