Two dogs starved to death, two more very ill
Alton Park, TN (US)

Incident Date: Thursday, Aug 28, 2008
County: Hamilton

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged:
» Tiffany Nicole Turner
» Allen Terrell Heard

Two Alton Park residents have been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals after two dead dogs and two very sick dogs were found in the back yard of a house.

Tiffany Nicole Turner, of 5244 Fagan St., was taken to jail, then released on a $500 bond.

Allen Terrell Heard of 5208 Fagan was also charged. His bond was put at $7,500.

McKamey Animal Services had been sent on Thursday to check out a bad smell coming from the property.

Officers found two badly decomposed pitbulls - still with collars on their necks and on chains.

The dead dogs were removed from the property, as were the two sick pitbulls.

Ms. Turner said she had lived at the house for the last two months, but she said the dogs belonged to Heard.

Police said the dogs had not been given food and water.
