Columbus, OH (US)

County: Franklin

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

The Capital Area Humane Society is warning pet owners after another dog was found shot to death by an arrow Friday night.

Investigators say someone shot a 13-year-old German Shepherd named Sam with an arrow while the dog was fenced in it's backyard in Northwest Columbus.

"What kind of person would do something like that?" Neighbor Bonnie Cramer asked, "Obviously this is a very disturbed individual."

Last Saturday, another dog in Franklin County was shot with an arrow and died, 10TV's Glenn McEntyre reported.

"We are cautioning all pet owners in Franklin County and the city of Columbus not to leave their animals outside unsupervised," Kevin Manion of the Capital Area Humane Society told 10TV.

Back in April, two cats in a Southeast Columbus apartment complex were shot with arrows. Both animals survived.

It's unclear if all the animals were harmed by the same person.

The Capital Area Humane Society is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
