Cat shot with arrow, resulting in death
Austin, MN (US)

Incident Date: Saturday, Aug 16, 2008
County: Mower

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

A cat found shot with an aluminum arrow had to be euthanized because of injuries, according to Mower County Chief Deputy Mark May, who said an 81-year-old Brownsdale woman reported the feline assault to police.

May said deputies responded to the woman's home - the 2200 block of 585th Avenue - around 1:20 p.m. Saturday.

The report did not indicate whose cat it was or when the injuries may have occurred, May said.

The aluminum air-target arrow used was taken into evidence, he said.
