On July 26, a Rensselaer man was arrested on animal cruelty charges by East Greenbush Police, who allege Richard Agley, 39, of Second Street, punched his dog "Magic" in the parking lot of Hollywood Video, 279 Troy Road. Witnesses allege the incident took place July 16. The dog had also allegedly been left in the vehicle while the temperature outside was 87 degrees.
