Disposition: Not Charged
Abuser names unreleased
Seventy dogs - many of them Jack Russell terriers - have been seized from a breeder who officials say was keeping them in filthy cages.
The Kearney Area Humane Society says the owner probably won't face criminal charges because he gave the dogs up willingly.
The humane society's director of operations, Nicole Evers, says the dogs were in dirty cages in hot buildings without ventilation. She says the dogs didn't have enough food and water.
The Kearney humane society took 24 of the dogs, and the rest were sent to shelters in Hastings, McCook and Grant. References « More cases in Buffalo County, NE
