Deputies said a call to animal control last week led to three people being charged with child neglect. Animal control officers said they were called to 968 N. Church St. last Thursday.

Officers said when they arrived they found deplorable conditions and called in the sheriff's office to investigate.

Deputies said they found animal feces and roaches throughout the home.

Deputies said they five children were living at the home and three of them were taken into protective custody.

Carla Gammon, Dale Gibble and Frances Gibble were arrested and charged with child neglect.

Gammon is the children's mother, deputies said.
