Dog locked in hot car for day and a half
Rexdale, ON (CA)

Incident Date: Tuesday, Jul 8, 2008

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: 29 year old woman

A dog owner faces charges after she allegedly left her Chihuahua in a sweltering car for a day and a half. The Toronto Sun reported the dog, Taco, was left in a black sports car, which was sitting in a sunny parking lot on Chalkfarm Drive in Rexdale.

He was rescued after a tenant spotted the pup and called police.

The dog's owner said she told building security that the dog had been stolen, but investigators said they never got that report.

The 29-year-old woman faces animal cruelty charges.
