Animals abandoned after owner moves
Faulkner County, AR (US)

Incident Date: Saturday, Jun 28, 2008
County: Faulkner

Disposition: Not Charged

Abuser names unreleased

Workers with a Faulkner County animal rescue group are dealing with a house full of abandoned animals this weekend.

Workers at Po Folks K9 Rescue say puppies and several grown dogs and cats were left to fend for themselves after their owner moved out.

Rescuers found the animals in wretched conditions, with trash and feces throughout the house. And there was no food, no water and no working utilities at the home.

We're told that several kittens were found dead and that some of the dogs may have been feeding on them.

Although authorities know the identity of the woman who left the animals, so far no charges have been filed.

If you would like to help these animals or provide assistance to the Po Folks K9 Rescue, call Ms. Lydia Grier at 501-329-2620.
