At 1 p.m. on June 21, Hatboro police officers responded to a report that a dog was locked inside a hot car on the 50 block of South York Road.
According to police, the temperature was 85 degrees outside, and the car was not sitting in a shaded area. Officers lowered a thermometer into the car and found that the interior temperature was 147 degrees. The dog was showing signs of distress, so they opened the car to get it out.
