Clinton Township police are asking for the public's help in tracking down four golfers who used a golf cart to run over and kill at least one goose at the Fern Hill Golf and Country Club on Clinton River Road.

Police Capt. Bruce Wade said the foursome was golfing about 8 p.m. Monday when a witness reported seeing them chase geese while riding in a golf cart and run over one goose.

"We intend to charge these men with animal cruelty and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law," Wade said.

The four attackers were described as white men in their late 30s or early 40s. Anyone with information on their identities is asked to call police at (586) 493-7931.
