Working in collaboration with the Upper Credit Humane Society, the Ontario SPCA Orangeville and District Branch has seized 53 dogs and three large birds from a property in Erin.
The Society attended the house May 9 with a warrant after visiting the property the previous day with a veterinarian who signed a "certificate of removal" advocating immediate removal of animals.
The SPCA branch said charges are being considered, and an ongoing investigation is being carried out by the branch and the Upper Credit Humane Society.
To report animal cruelty, contact the SPCA branch at 519-942-3140 or the Ontario SPCA provincial office at 1- 888-668-7722.

Note: Classifications and other fields should not be used to determine what specific charges the suspect is facing or was convicted of - they are for research and statistical purposes only. The case report and subsequent updates outline the specific charges. Charges referenced in the original case report may be modified throughout the course of the investigation or trial, so case updates, when available, should always be considered the most accurate reflection of charges.
