Sherman Jones is accused of stealing three pit bulls from their owners. Wake Forest police also charged him with cruelty to animals.

According to the arrest warrant, Jones planned to mutilate, maim and kill one of the dogs.

The 18-year-old suspect was being held Sunday afternoon at the Wake County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
