Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Solomon the pit bill has been thriving after he was found on the side of the road in Cornelius nearly dead from starvation.

When he was found, he had wounds consistent with dogfighting and was severely malnourished.

The people at Indigo Rescue took him in, and they're happy to report that he's doing well.

"The fact that he survived at all, we're all proud of that, and then to see him thrive after recovering from liver failure and the injuries and the starvation really warms our hearts," said Heather Hines of Indigo Rescue.

Indigo Rescue employees said Solomon hasn't shown any aggression and has been living happily in a foster home with two other dogs.

But the rescue agency hopes to place Solomon in a permanent home soon.
