Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!
An eight-week-old puppy needs a new home after someone left it in a dumpster with two broken legs. The black lab mix was found in Vinton. Humane Society workers have named him Charlie.
Both of his back legs are broken. One is in a splint. Pins were placed in the other.
Nancy Johnson, Bedford Humane Society - "The vet does feel the legs were broken before it got there. There's no way it could crawl if it had been run over in the parking lot. This is a case of neglect and abuse."
Charlie can't be taken home until his legs are healed. That will take about a month. If you are interested in adopting him call Bedford's Humane Society at 586-6100.

Note: Classifications and other fields should not be used to determine what specific charges the suspect is facing or was convicted of - they are for research and statistical purposes only. The case report and subsequent updates outline the specific charges. Charges referenced in the original case report may be modified throughout the course of the investigation or trial, so case updates, when available, should always be considered the most accurate reflection of charges.
