A 14-year-old Chambersburg boy was charged with cruelty to animals and other offenses after allegedly shooting a cat Wednesday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The unidentified boy and three other boys found the cat in a field off Etters Avenue in Peters Township, police said. The boy went to his house, got a rifle and shot the cat, then approached the animal and shot it twice more, killing it, police said.
