Hoarding - 20 dogs seized
Abbeyleix, IR (UK)

Incident Date: Thursday, Mar 13, 2008

Disposition: Not Charged

Abuser names unreleased

New homes are being sought for more than 20 dogs recused from a Co Laois property yesterday.

The animals from Terrier to Great Dane were removed from a house in the Abbeyleix area.

The Society of Preventation of Cruelty to Animals says it was a case of animal hoarding and not a Puppy Factory.

Incidents of possible cruelty or neglect are being investigated.

The dogs have been taken to the National Animal Centre in Longford and to The ISPCA in Dublin.
