Police said that a drive-by shooting in Valencia County killed one farm dog and left another seriously hurt. The surviving dog was shot twice, once in the back and once in the face, police said. Twelve pins now hold Ginger's jaw to her face. A veteranarian spent hours operating to make sure Ginger will make it. Her owner said her dogs live on a farm and can run free on the property, but witnesses said two men driving nearby shot the dogs for no apparent reason.
"When he shot her it had to have been at close range with more than likely a pistol, a higher caliber of pistol than a .22," said Jennifer Hohman, Ginger's owner.
Witnesses said the two men were driving a white Ford Ranger with a light blue stripe across the body. Get in touch with the Valencia County Sheriff's Office at 505-866-2460 if you can help this case. If you have information on this case, please contact: Valencia County Sheriff's Office 505-866-2460
