Hounds Way, 11000 block - Concerned that barking dogs at a neighbor's unoccupied house might have been abandoned without proper care, a resident called animal services. The resident could not see the dogs because tarps had been placed over the kennel fencing. An animal control officer left a notice on the door of the house, then returned the next day to find three adult German shepherds and three 8-week-old puppies in kennels with no food or water. The owner apparently had moved from the house and left the dogs in the care of friends. The dogs were taken to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, where they were to be placed for adoption.
