Four dogs shot with .22

Yesterday at about 2:15 p.m. Indio police were called out to the 63000 block of Landon Lane in Thermal for a report cruelty to animals.

An investigation revealed the owner of the dogs and a neighbor, Isaac Mireles,30, have an ongoing dispute over the animal's attacking residents in the area.

Witnesses said Mireles shot the four dogs with a .22 caliber rifle, police said.

One witness saw Mireles fire a shot, and confronted him, to which Mireles allegedly pointed the rifle at him and replied, �I�ll kill all those dogs."

Police say the witness was not injured.

Deputies were not able to locate Mireles at his home, but he is considered armed and dangerous.

The investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with information to call the Indio station at 760-836-8990.
