more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Horse neglect Bradenton, FL (US)Incident Date: Sunday, Mar 18, 2007 County: Manatee
Charges: Misdemeanor Disposition: Convicted
Defendant/Suspect: Juan Pablo Nino Rodriguez
A man accused of injuring several horses last year was sentenced to three years of probation Wednesday after pleading no contest to three counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
Juan Pablo Nino Rodriguez, 41, must also complete 75 hours of community service work and pay court costs and investigative fees. He also cannot own any livestock during his probation, said Assistant State Attorney Andrea Watt.
From November 2006 through March 2007, Watt said, Rodriguez did not provide "adequate substance" for an adult horse and a yearling colt.
On one occasion during that time, Rodriguez rode a miniature horse, which is prohibited for someone his size due to weight restrictions, Watt said.
The three horses were seized by the sheriff's office and are now in good health, Watt said. References« FL State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Manatee County, FL
