The Civil Guard have removed dozens of livestock from two unlicensed farms in Alguazas, where the animals living there were found to be in appalling condition. EFE reports of cases of emaciation and mutilation, and blindness. Officers from the Civil Guard nature branch, Seprona, also found 50 dead livestock nearby, whose bodies had begun to be eaten by wild dogs.
Two cockerels showed signs of having been used for fighting, and it's understood the owner now faces charges of animal cruelty.
Also confiscated were 131 cattle and goats with their identification tags torn off, together with three horses, 13 greyhound, and 20 hens. References |
