A teen was arrested on Dec 17 for beating a kitten to death.
Robert Tull, 17, allegedly struck the 4-month-old short-haired kitten with a garbage can lid at Fulton Avenue and East 171st Street on Nov. 26, according ASPCA Assistant Director Joseph Pentangelo.
He was caught on a surveillance camera nearby and was arrested outside of his Fulton Avenue home last Monday, Pentangelo said.
Concerned witnesses also called the ASPCA.
The kitten, part of a colony of stray cats that live in the area, had been badly beaten.
Tull, who was already on parole for a previous arrest, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
Evidence showed the cat had been the victim of fatal trauma to his head and that he had been drowned.
