Alleged: Caryn A. Consilio

A Rochester woman was arrested Sunday and charged with breaking into the home of her estranged husband and killing his Pomeranian dog.

Caryn A. Consilio, 29, of 10 Lansdale St. was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree aggravated cruelty to animals and fourth-degree grand larceny, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.

She also is accused of stealing a laptop computer and checks and causing extensive damage to the Running Brook Road residence just before midnight Saturday, according to Investigator Matt McDonald.

Consilio was being held in the Ontario County Jail on Sunday in lieu of $25,000 bail.
