Riverside County Animal Services euthanized 121 fighting roosters found on November 24th in a Glen Avon house, according to a department release.

Animal services officials, along with the Sheriff's Department and code enforcement officials, discovered a suspected cockfighting operation around 8 a.m. in the 3000 block of Campbell Street, said spokesman John Welsh.

The owner of the house was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty and possession of approximately two dozen blades typically used in cockfighting, he said.
