The wife of a Columbia man called police on her husband on March 31st to report that her six-pound poodle had been severely injured. Investigators say Bocala threw the poodle against a wall after it allegedly urinated on a carpet.
Police have charged 28 year old Kharl Bocala with aggravated cruelty to an animal and unlawfully inflicting unnecessary suffering on an animal in his custody.
The dog was pronounced dead on arrival at the Emergency Veterinarian Clinic in Catonsville, Baltimore County after suffering injuries to the brain and spinal cord.
