A dog that a foster pet owner believes was thrown from a moving vehicle two months ago and hit by another is in the process of slowly recovering.
Jordan, a dachshund, now limps around Cayce Kovacs' yard, months after it suffered a broken pelvis, shattered leg, and broken hip.
Surgically implanted pins were put in the dog's leg to stabilize a bone.
A scar remains on Jordan's back from the alleged act of animal cruelty.
"He certainly was in a lot of pain," Kovacs said.
Kovacs said Jordan's wounds are a painful reminder of the intentionally inflicted injuries, but the dog has persevered through its dire state and is expected to make a full recovery.
"He's mended physically and he was lucky that someone picked him up very soon and took him right to the vet," she said.
Kovacs said after the incident occurred, a Good Samaritan picked the dog up and brought it to the Dachshund Rescue Of Texas.
Jordan is now up for adoption.
"He's going to get a really good home now, and be properly spoiled," Kovacs said References« TX State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Bexar County, TX
