Dog shot, left for dead
West Olive, MI (US)

Incident Date: Friday, Sep 7, 2007
County: Ottawa

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

A dog shot and left for dead now has a chance at a longer happier life. A one and half year old Shepard mix named Harrison was shot twice. One of the bullets hit his jaw and the other went down his throat.

The Harbor Humane Society says it was flooded with donations after news of the dog's plight hit local media. The money will pay for the two surgeries Harrison needs.

Authorities are still looking for the person responsible for shooting the dog. Anyone with tips can call Silent Observer at 1-800-825-0221.
