Sacramento police have arrested a man they say was brutally beating his dog...and it was all caught on tape. A neighbor of the man captured video of the attack. On the video, you can hear the dog howl in pain as the man allegedly beats the Rottweiler with a mallet and a lead pipe.

The neighbor showed the tape to police, who then arrested 51-year-old Merhdad Baghie. Witnesses say Baghie told police he was defending himself after the dog bit him.

The Rottweiler was treated by vets. Police aren't confirming anything while the investigation is ongoing.
