Police arrested Mulga City Councilman William Bryant on Aug 29, 2007 and charged him with animal cruelty.

Bryant is accused of shooting and killing a dog on July 7th.

He says he didn't do anything wrong. But a witness said she saw him shoot the six-month-old husky/lab mix named Kujo.

Bryant said the morning the dog was shot two of his goats had been killed by a dog. He said he heard shots but didn't know a dog had been shot.
