more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Dogs used for fighting Dover, DE (US)Incident Date: Sunday, Jun 1, 2003 County: Kent
Disposition: Convicted
Defendant/Suspect: Willie A Brown
One such discovery occurred in June 2003, she said, while officers investigated a complaint about dogs running loose in a rural neighborhood three miles west of Dover.
Inside cages on the property, pit bulls lay in the sun without shade. No one was at home, Wyatt said, so officers peered into the garage and saw a scale for weighing dogs and a disassembled cage "with blood all over it.'' Officers obtained a search warrant, and found the house vacant, without furniture. A lone crate sat on the kitchen floor, holding a pit bull pup. Bloody gashes covered the dog's face. Its legs, ears and body bore gouges and puncture wounds. "It was the typical aftermath of a fight,'' Wyatt said.
A grand jury indicted the 21-year-old man renting the house, Willie A. Brown, on multiple dogfighting charges. Brown, who spent nearly two months in jail before posting bail, later pleaded guilty to two counts, court records show. A judge sentenced Brown to two years' probation in January 2005 and banned him from having any contact with animals for 15 years. Brown, who was discharged from probation after only a year, could not be reached. References« DE State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Kent County, DE
