Two East Tennessee men are accused of dog fighting in Morristown.

On May 28, Steven Curtis, who owns the home where officers found the dogs, and Bobby Lee Killion were arrested for dog fighting.

The neighborhood where the alleged dog fighting took place is only about a half mile from the justice center.

Since the case is pending, authorities have been placed under a gag order.

But court documents reveal that officers found two injured dogs, a dog fighting pit, and other equipment in the basement.

All of the evidence collected at Steven Curtis' home will be presented to a grand jury that meets on September 28.

Case Updates

Two Morristown men have been convicted of dogfighting. Steven Ewing, 52, was convicted on a felony dogfighting charge this week. Officials said he owned two pit bulls and fought them, and that he owned property where the fight took place.

Jurors also found Bobby Lee Killion guilty of dogfighting. He owned two pit bull dogs.

Hamblen-Morristown Animal Control officers confiscated the four dogs last Memorial Day.

They said a tip led them to a home where they found two injured dogs and a dogfighting ring and paraphernalia.

The dogs have been in custody since. Their futures remain uncertain.

Ewing and Killion are set to be sentenced on March 20.
