Disposition: Not Charged

Abuser names unreleased

RSPCA inspectors will interview residents of a central Queensland home on the outskirts of Mount Morgan today, over alleged animal cruelty.

More than 70 dogs and 25 cats, as well as two goats, were seized in a poor condition. There were also several dead animals in the house and in rubbish bins - some had been cannibalised. RSPCA inspector Shane Towers-Hammond says vets will examine the surviving animals and some are believed to be pregnant.

No charges have been laid at this stage, but interviews will be conducted.
