Animal control officers in Chattanooga take 12 dogs out of a house. Neighbors called police on November 24, 2006, complaining about dogs fighting at 1711 Dayton Boulevard. Animal control officers went to the house and found 12 dogs living in filth, with garbage and feces all over the home.
The couple, who lived in the home, Phillip D. Angel and Heather Gooden, each face 12 counts of animal cruelty. They're due in court later this month. Case UpdatesAccording to reports, animal control officers acting on a call about abandoned dogs last fall went to a trailer on Dayton Boulevard.
Neighbors said Heather Michele Gooden and Phillip Angel had been gone for three days. Inside the trailer, officers found 12 dogs running loose and the floor was covered in fecal matter and trash.
Officers took the dogs first to the Riverview Animal Hospital then were taken to the Humane Society.
