Beach Police have served a Magistrate Summons on the daughter of a woman whose trailer was found to be infested with flies and fleas, and where six dead cats were found. Vicki Jean Eide, 45, of the 4600 block of Serapis Lane has been charged with Animal Cruelty. Her hearing has been set for Sept. 4th. According to police, Eide was supposed to be taking care of the cats after her mother moved in with her but apparently didn't.
Police were summoned on July 20th, to check on the welfare of an elderly woman who resided in the trailer located in the 100 block of Holland Drive in the County View Trailer Park. The conditions inside were so deplorable that animal control officers had to don plastic suits to remove the dead cats. The Trailer was subsequently condemned.
