A man has been condemned to pay a fine of 3000 euros for cruelty to animals and abandonment. On 18th of May, two police agents saw a car driver throwing a dog out of the window car and driving away. The agents stopped the car and dennounced him for abandoning the dog, which is considered a severe misdemeanor in the Animal Protection Law.

Un conductor ha sido sancionado en el municipio gaditano de Chipiona con una multa de 3.000 euros por haber arrojado a su perro por la ventanilla del veh�culo y huir, seg�n informa la Consejer�a de Gobernaci�n en una nota de prensa.

Los hechos se produjeron el 18 de mayo de 2006 cuando dos agentes presenciaron c�mo el coche se paraba en la calle Arroyo de la localidad y lanzaba al animal.

El individuo, que fue detenido por la Polic�a Local cuando escapaba del lugar del suceso, ha sido sancionado, con 3.000 euros de multa impuesta por la Consejer�a de Gobernaci�n, por cometer una infracci�n grave de la Ley de Protecci�n de los Animales. El art�culo 38 califica de infracci�n muy grave "el abandono de animales no registrados ni identificados", previendo una sanci�n de entre 2.001 y 30.000 euros.

Tras ser detenido, el susodicho reconoci� ser el propietario del perro y declar� haberlo dejado en la v�a al no poder hacerse cargo de su mantenimiento, declaraci�n de la que m�s tarde se desdijo, con el argumento de que ni el animal le pertenec�a ni hab�a huido de los agentes de la Polic�a Local, lo que fue rechazado por el instructor del caso.TA
