Two people are now in custody accused of animal cruelty following an early morning raid.
Chicago police converged on a home about 8 a.m. in 1800 block of north Drake. Inside, authorities say they found four dogs without adequate food or water.
The two pit bulls and two rottweilers are now in protective custody.
Their owners have been cited on misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty. Officers point out that the dogs were were being trained for fighting. References « More cases in Lake County, IL
