On May 25, 2006, a search warrant was executed by authorities at the property of Roberto R. Wilson on Miller Avenue in Columbus.

Wilson was indicted on several counts of dogfighting, firearms violations, and criminal tools.

His dogs were impounded and have been housed for more than 300 days while he awaits trial.

So far, it has cost taxpayers more than $51,000 to care for his dogs.

The trial for accused dog-fighter Roberto Wilson has been continued again. Wilson will appear in court next on October 17 at 9:00 a.m. at the Franklin County Courthouse, located at 369 High St. in Columbus. The trial is to take place on the 8th Floor in courtroom 8D.
