A Miami man has been charged with three counts of animal abuse after police rescue two filthy puppies from the man's apartment, the body of a third was found dead in the man's bathtub.

Miami Police said the puppies they rescued were in "inhumane conditions," their fur was so covered in so feces that officers couldn't tell the breed of the dogs, or the true color of their fur.

The apartment's resident, 41-year old Henry Cham, was arrested and charged on June 27.

This was not the first time the animal safety officers were called to Cham's apartment. In June, animal control officers from the county picked up five dirty and underweight dogs from the residence. After a five-day holding period, the animals were euthanized after they failed to be adopted.
