Police arrested a 46-year-old Duluth woman June 11 after authorities found signs of animal neglect inside her home.
According to a police report, urine-stained carpet and large amounts of feces were found inside Pamela Jean Ash's 3775 Turnbury Oaks Drive home.
After Ash allowed authorities to search her home, police found an over-filled litter box in the master bedroom as well as a cat's food bowl on an entertainment unit filled with old food covered with dead maggots.
Police arrested Ash and charged the woman with 10 counts of animal neglect. Seven dogs, as well as the 3 cats, were removed from her home. The three cats have all been taken into the Furkids rescue program (www.furkids.org). Four Chinese Crested and one Xolo (all hairless dogs) were released to rescue.
