An Evansville woman bonds out of jail June 15 morning after being charged with animal cruelty.

Twenty-five-year-old Angela Casteel is accused of leaving two dogs to starve to death in the basement of her rental home, which she had since moved out of.

According to the police affidavit, animal control investigators removed one of the dogs from the basement of Casteel's home on May 30th. When the second dog was found dead on June 13, locked in a pen next to molding food, investigators turned the matter over to the Evansville police department.

Casteel is charged with two counts of animal cruelty. She is out of jail after posting a $200 bond.
