A man saved a kitten that was bound to some railroad tracks on the Southeast Side early Thursday.

According to a police report, the man saw two people tie the kitten to some railroad tracks at Shane and Villamain at 3 a.m.

The man yelled at the pair, who took off in a vehicle, police said.

The man then followed the vehicle, when the driver pulled over and got out of the vehicle. He then opened the trunk and pulled out a gun and pointed it at the man, police said.

The driver got back in his car and took off.

The man then called police.

He decided to keep the kitten.
