Joe Viverette was pulled over on September 05, 2006 for a traffic violation in the 3000 block of E 30th St. in Indianapolis. Officers found an injured dog in his vehicle that appeared to been involved in a dog fight.

Viverette was arrested for driving on a suspended license. After Animal control made contact with him and got a taped statement, they found that they didn't have enough evidence to go forward on a dog fighting charge. Viverette was charged with animal cruelty, a class D felony.

Viverette is scheduled for trial on June 13 at 8:30 a.m.

Case Updates
