CONVICTED: Was justice served?
more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Dogs, cats, turtles and fish abandoned Saline County, AR (US)Incident Date: Sunday, Jul 31, 2005 County: Saline
Charges: Misdemeanor Disposition: Convicted
Defendant/Suspect: Vernon Wilson
A Saline County man was sentenced on April 26, 2007 for a misdemeanor conviction for animal cruelty. Vernon Wilson was sentenced to 30 days in jail and ordered to pay $500 in restitution to the Pulaski County Humane Society, the agency that provided care for the animals after they were seized.
Authorities were reportedly contacted in August 2005 after two dogs, two cats, a turtle, and a tank full of fish were found abandoned in 100-degree heat without food or water at a home with no power.
Wilson had apparently been evicted from the home and left the animals behind.
The two dogs, which were clearly malnourished and suffering from dehydration, were found chained outside. The remaining pets were left inside the stifling home. References « More cases in Saline County, AR
