An Evansville woman accused of robbing a gas station, then allegedly kicking a dog during her escape has pleaded guilty to the robbery and to unrelated charges in a different case.
She did not enter a plea to an animal cruelty charge related to allegations she kicked the dog.
Symphony Moredock, 18, of 844 Adams Ave., was charged in an armed robbery Jan. 17 at Shell Mart at 1601 S. Weinbach Ave.
Investigators alleged the teen kicked a 3-year-old pit bull named Frost while fleeing the scene of the robbery.
The dog died from its injuries hours later.
In that case, Moredock was originally charged with Class B felony armed robbery and class A misdemeanor animal cruelty.
On Friday, Moredock was soft-spoken when she told a judge she wanted to plead guilty to a lesser charge of Class C felony robbery.
If her plea is accepted, during her sentencing on May 22, the animal cruelty charge will be dismissed.
Also on Friday, Moredock pleaded guilty to Class C felony forgery and Class D felony theft in an unrelated case.
In that case, which also began in January, Moredock was accused of stealing another woman's debit card. Neighborhood MapFor more information about the Interactive Animal Cruelty Maps, see the map notes.
