Horses mutilated - throats and stomachs cut open

The Humane Society of the United States is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for killing three horses in a Cornelia pasture belonging to a Habersham County family.

According to investigators and media accounts from April 17, the owners found their horse named Red dead from having his throat cut in the pasture along Chase Road. This is the third horse owned by this family that has been brutally killed in last three months. The two other horses were killed by having their stomachs cut open.
