more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Beating and stabbing two sheep Orangevale, CA (US)Incident Date: Saturday, Mar 22, 2003 County: Sacramento
Disposition: Convicted
Defendants/Suspects: » Daniel Lee Krause » Chad Lee Console
Daniel Lee Krause, 22, and Chad Lee Console, 23, of the Sacramento area, were booked into the county jail on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools, and are expected to be charged with animal cruelty for brutally beating two sheep and then stabbing them with a pitchfork in a highschool's agricultural classroom. One of the animals was killed and the other was left barely alive.
The men were arrested as they left the school, Casa Robles High School, early Saturday (March 22). A neighbor, suspicious after seeing two men enter the school late at night, called deputies to the scene.
After detaining the two men, authorities searched the school and found the badly beaten animals in the agriculture classroom, which had also been burglarized. When they were arrested, both men had hammers that authorities believe were used to beat the sheep, Fatur said.
He said a pig from the school's agriculture program was beaten a few years ago, though there was no known connection to Saturday's attack.
Krause kicked out the window of a squad car and was subdued with a Taser stun gun after his arrest, Fatur said. References« CA State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Sacramento County, CA
