County: Staunton City

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: man

A witness alleges to have caught on tape a man trying to get a pair of pit bulls to fight each other. A Staunton animal-cruelty case has authorities investigating whether a man on Miller Street tried to instigate the fight on March 19, police report.

Police responding to the call did charge a man at the same residence with allowing a pit bull chained to a fence to wander onto neighboring property, the report shows.

It is unclear if that man is the person accused of trying to start the dogfight
