Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

On March 16, Tracy Librizzi of Effort called police to notify them that her German shepherd had been shot that afternoon.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Fir Road and West Brook, Sun Valley, Chestnuthill Township, at about 12:50 p.m. March 16.

The dog, a 3-year-old male named Buddy, was shot through the hind quarter and leg, Librizzi said.

Librizzi took Buddy to Creature Comforts Veterinary Service, in Saylorsburg, where he was treated for his wounds and blood loss. He is expected to survive and should return home this week, Librizzi said.

Librizzi credited the staff at Creature Comforts with saving Buddy's life.
